His last name is actually name! Oh wait, no it\'s not.

So, I added a drawing of my husband in front of the helicopter...
I am stupendously proud of this drawing. Please be impressed at me.

Yet, I\'m going to get five page views and two favourites... Instead of the 50000 pageviews and 1000 favourites that any photo of myself brings. *sigh*
This represents about ten hours of my life.

ten hours well-spent, truly.

the result is tremendously striking -- excellent work and attention to fine detail! drawing the individual rivets on the side of the helicopter would have driven me insane, but they add a lovely sense of depth to the image (as does the choice to make the cockpit a lighter shade of grey -- great idea!) and serve to break up the negative space. the gun hardware is very impressive, too.

i also love the way you used a heavier outlines to frame your husband -- it really helps him pop out into the foreground. it's neat to have his hair and eyebrows serve as the only solid black elements. he's a very handsome man with piercing eyes, but i promise that's not why i'm fav'ing the pic... _{for the most part.}

this is an incredible piece that undoubtedly required a herculean patience; thanks very much for sharing it!
